MAMASHEALTH.COM SCHOLARSHIP (Deadline: January 31, 2006)

* Available to freshman, sophomore, junior and senior students attending a college or university in the United States with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
* Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
* Must submit an essay with a maximum of 750 words and address the following
question: Should corporations be required to provide health insurance to their full-time employees?
* Eligible students may not have already been receiving or awarded a full-tuition scholarship or waiver from another source.

FRANK O’NEILL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Deadline: March 31, 2006)

* The 2006 Frank O’ Neill Memorial Scholarship is open to anyone attending a university, college, trade school, technical institute, vocational training or other postseason education program in the 2005-2006 or 2006-2007 academic year.
* You must submit an essay of fewer than 1,000 words on how one person in particular has influenced your life in a positive way to be eligible for this award.
* Must describe how you will contribute to a peaceful and just society in the future.
* Eligible students may not have already been receiving or awarded a full-tuition scholarship or waiver from another source.
* International students are welcome to apply.

DOROTHY VANDERCOOK PEACE SCHOLARSHIP (Deadline: March 1, 2006)

* Must be a high school senior or in your first year of college.
* Must write a brief autobiography of your activities relating to peace and social justice, nuclear disarmament issues, and conflict resolution.
Include some proof of these activities (e.g., copies of newspaper articles, verification by your references).
* Must describe how you will contribute to a peaceful and just society in the future.
* Must include two letters of recommendation.
* There are no grade point or age requirements, and students from any country may apply.

DALE E. FRIDELL SCHOLARSHIP (Deadline: January 14, 2006)

* The 2005-06 Dale E. Fridell Memorial Scholarships are open to anyone aspiring to attend a university, college, trade school, technical institute, vocational training or other post-secondary education program in the 2005-2006 academic year.
* Scholarships are awarded to women 20 years old or older, who are returning to school to acquire better job opportunities.
* Eligible students may not have already been receiving or awarded a full-tuition scholarship or waiver from another source.
* International students are welcome to apply.

ARIZONA BUSINESS and PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP (Deadline:
March 1, 2006)

* The Arizona Business & Professional Women’s Foundation was created in 1989 to help women move forward in a changing world and achieve equity and economic self-sufficiency through education.
* Scholarships are awarded to women 20 years old or older, who are returning to school to acquire better job opportunities.
* Funding is available for various scholarships (see application).

LA UNIDAD LATINA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP (Deadline: February 15, 2006)

* Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.80 – 3.60 out of a 4.0 GPA Scale.
Cumulative GPAs above 3.60 or below 2.80, do not qualify for a scholarship.
* Must be currently enrolled in an eligible bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited four-year college or university. Eligible
Degrees: all Bachelor degrees and Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Public Administration/Policy, Master of Social Work, Master of Education, and Master of Divinity.
* Must be a full-time student at an accredited college, university, or community college.
* Must completed at least one full-time year of study for undergraduate applicants, and at least one full-time semester of study for graduate applicants.
* Must reside in the United States.

AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY (ACS) SCHOLARSHIP (Deadline: March 1, 2006)

* Must be of African, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian decent.
* Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
* Must be a full-time student at an accredited college, university, or community college.
* Must be a high academic achiever in chemistry or science (Grade Point Average 3.0, “B” or better).
* Must be able to demonstrate evidence of financial need according to FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the Student Aid Report (SAR) form
* Must be a graduating high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior intending to or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology
* *Please note that students intending to enter Pre-Med programs or pursing a degree in Pharmacy are not eligible for this scholarship.
